If you’re like me, you’ll agree that the kitchen is the most essential ingredient to a perfect home. It is not only the heart of the home but can serve as a main entertaining area as well…and this kitchen handles both crowds magnificently. Soaring ceilings take your breath away and a wall of impressive arched windows offer a view of the Valley as well as letting in tons of natural light. Warm wood throughout creates a comfortable cabin vibe, while a few contemporary and industrial elements give it a unique personality. Dual islands provide a good amount of counter space, each with its own sink with pot scrubber faucet! A charming beverage station comes with counter space for your coffee maker or espresso machine, plus a beverage fridge, and commercial ice maker. This is the perfect kitchen for entertaining guests or just enjoying a quiet cup of coffee in the morning.

Getting Crafty

A sizeable craft room sits just beyond the wood-burning stove (yes, there is a wood-burning stove!) and, boy, is it a sewer’s dream! The washer and dryer are conveniently located here, so prewashing your fabrics is a breeze. And all the counterspace is great for planning out patterns, or even just folding your clean clothes and linens. And with plenty of cabinet storage and outdoor access, its versatility knows no bounds.

Freshen Up

Your first-floor owner’s suite is tucked into the other corner of the home. On your way there, be sure to pop your head into the elegant office space with a built-in desk and a view of the beautiful landscaping out front. The owner’s suite itself comes with its own little joys. Step out to the back porch and sit by the fire – now this is glamping! Your spacious en suite comes with a double vanity, large walk-in shower, and footed soaking tub. I can easily imagine myself enjoying a bubble bath with only a glass of wine and that amazing view to keep me company! Upstairs, the bedrooms have their own vanities with sinks while sharing a shower and WC between them. Take a peek at the hidey-holes on either side of the bedrooms – perfect for extra storage or play nooks for the littles!

Fringe Benefits

Just off the kitchen is a large, screened breezeway. Here you’ll find a grill, gas burners, a large sink, and an oven. Large enough to fit multiple dining tables, you’ll be able to feed EVERYONE here! (For those hunters out there, this would make an EXCELLENT staging area, too!) After dinner, let the games begin. Move over to the game room, fix a drink at the built-in “saloon-style” bar, and rack ‘em up! Big enough for a pool table plus a card table or seating area for lounging, this room will be a hot spot at parties, for sure. Or you can pop some popcorn and host a movie night in your theater room! Blackout curtains and a projector mean you can enjoy the “big screen” from the comfort of your own home.

And if game/movie night goes too long, guests can crash in the attached guest quarters, with its own wood-burning stove and en suite bath. Have multiple guests? You have a whole separate guest house over the detached garage/workshop. Featuring wood ceilings and accents as beautiful as the views, the upstairs guest quarters boast two private bedrooms with a shared living room, kitchenette, and WC with a standing shower. Trust me, everyone will want to stay here! We don’t call this Camp S’More for nothing! From the fish pond to the campfire area and beyond, this backyard is truly a campers dream come true. The Great Outdoors

And don’t think I forgot about you farm-to-fork folk… In addition to the fenced garden and orchard (tomatoes, berries, figs, apples, persimmons, and more) there is a fantastic chicken coop, complete with an automatic door-timer so chickens can roost themselves and no furry unfriendlies can get in after hours. Chickens have plenty of room to stretch their legs during the day with 8’ electrical fencing. Plus 3 paddocks for goats or any other farm friends you may want to keep. Hidden Falls Regional Parks sits adjacent to the property, with its miles of trails. Hike, bicycle, or ride horseback with ease! I guarantee you’ll never run out of things to do here.
