Auburn, the beautiful town I call home, was recently featured in an article naming it The Best Town in Northern California and I couldn’t agree more!

For those who may not know, Auburn is a small (but not too small!) town located in the heart of Gold Country, just a short drive northeast of Sacramento. A real “Gateway to the Sierras” if you will.
It’s unique in its ability to combine “the best of urban living, rural life, and small town charm” better than most towns.
Why I ❤️ It
I moved here about 5 years ago and felt it checked a lot of the boxes on my list. I wanted a vibe like Midtown Sacramento, art, music, etc. but a little closer to nature – and wine!
Speaking of wine, something they do not mention in the article, but I think is worth a BIG nod, is one of my favorite watering holes, Carpe Vino.
In keeping with the unique Auburn aesthetic, they describe themselves as “a blue-collar group with the aim of keeping our approach to fine dining and wine service simple and elegant.” I couldn’t have put it better myself.
